This week’s workshop

This week we have another fantastic workshop which I think is rather different to some of the recent ones we have had.  It is in rather rich red/orange tonings but Frances has married it with a beautiful artesean pool blue.  Have a look at the snippet below or pop into the shop to have a look at the real life thing.

Upcoming classes and workshops

This is this weeks workshop – and yes there is a second page to go with it, but to see that you will have to come into the shop – as my photography just doesn’t do it justice.

The February class list and workshop agenda is on the website so why not flit across and have a look.  It is in an easy to print off PDF format which you can hang on the fridge to let your family know when you will be off for a little “me” time, and you must agree we all deserve that.

New Stock is on the way

and part of the delivery is Posh Posies by Daisy Bucket.  I’ve nicked the photo from their website and its a bit blury but still you get the idea.  This should be here anyday now.  I do so love these colours.

This week’s workshop

Here are a couple of photos of this weeks workshops (Wednesday and Thursday nights).  The top page is the page closed and the bottom one is open, but it opens even further and further and further.  It is a class that you don’t want to miss – so cute and would suit any monsters.

I can finally let you know

about the secret I have been keeping.

We have been asked for beginner’s scrapbooking classes and I can now say that I have been and attended the EK Success Scrapbooking University and have finally received my certificate.  This is what I have been waiting for, as before I received it I wasn’t allowed to teach classes following the EK Success cirriculum.  Now that this is in the bag, I am hppy to announce that classes will commence on Tuesday 2 February starting at 7.00pm and run weekly for four weeks.  Once completed, I will then send your names to EK Success and your certificates will be returned and then we can have a party for your graduation.  For the first set of classes the size of the class will be capped at 6 people, so that I can give you all the attention that is becoming of this sort of program, so don’t hesitate in ringing (9077 8240) to book your spot.

This week’s classes

Card making  – Tuesday 12 January 2010 at 7.00pm

I have had a lot of requests for stamping classes and thought I should start with a beginner’s class so that everyone is on the same page.  The sample that I have added is a very basic card which will help you learn the technique of stamping and embossing, colouring with a choice of mediums, and mounting to give the card some dimension.   I have also made two further cards, using the same stamps,  just to give you some indication of what can be achieved just by ramping up the techniques a little.  I will show you these at the end of the class.

Scrapbooking Workshops – Wednesday 13 January and Thursday 14 January 2010 at 7.00pm

The first of the scrapbooking workshops starts this week on Wendesday 13 January at 7.00pm.  The same workshop will be repeated on Thursday evening.  The photo is of the left hand side page, but there is a gorgeous right hand side page to match.  I love the colours, the aqua and brown combination is one of my favourites, finished off with just the right amount of bling. You could of course, omit the bling, and quite easily turn it into a layout more suited to the most significant other in your lives.

Keep an eye on the blog tomorrow as the secret I have been keeping for a couple of weeks now will be revealed.

Workshops and Calendar

We wish you all a very Happy New Year and hope that it is a safe, healthy and prosperous one for you all, it’s got to be better than last year I hear you all say.

Workshops

We will be running our fantastic Workshops on both Wednesday (all but booked out) and Thursday nights, beginning 13 January 2010.  If there is enough request for these Workshops we will also run them on a Tuesday morning.

The Workshops are kited up programs.  The fantastic Frances will be designing these Workshops for us, with the first three already “in the bag”, with her currently working on even more.

These Workshops are pre-kitted and photos are not necessary.

To make things even more interesting, one week every month we will be working on a layout using a different technique, something that should be new to most of you.

Classes

I know you are asking “what’s coming” but I can’t tell you just yet.  Keep an eye on the blog in the next week or so and all will be revealed.

 Card making classes

We have been requested to do more of these, and your requests have been heard, with the first one being on Tuesday 12 January 2010.  This is a basic  stamping class, with the emphasis on being able to work with all stamp types, rubber, mounted, unmounted and acrylic.  There are different techniques for every stamp.  We aim to make stamps easy for all to use.  In this class you will also be exposed to different types of inks, something that I find a challenge for most new stampers.    I feel that this class is of the utmost  importance, because, had I not participated in a similar class many years ago, I would not have the understanding of inks and stamping that I have today, and for that reason I have decided that this  class will be a pre-requisite for all  future card making classes. I promise you, you will find it invaluable.  Been stamping for years??? Then come and talk to us, and we can make alternative arrangements.

See the blog later this week for samples.
